regret. it makes us believe that if we did things differently, things would be better right now. sometimes it’s true and other times it’s not. our relationship with regret can keep us stuck in the past and unable to make healthy decisions for the future.⁣

here are 9 ways to let go of regret and start living a happier life:

1. grieve the possibility of what could’ve been⁣
2. acknowledge that “what if’s” are hypothetical (most of the time we stress about things that either never have happened or never could have happened)⁣
3. accept your reality ⁣
4. take responsibility ⁣
5. forgive yourself ⁣
6. reflect on why you made the decisions you did (perhaps things would be way worse if you had done things differently)⁣
7. identify what you’ve learned⁣
8. find gratitude in the present ⁣
9. commit to making authentic decisions (ones that you wholeheartedly believe in and not because you’re trying to plz someone else) ⁣
