One of my treasured Virtual BFFs turned Graphic Designer, Nicole Goldfarb, and I have come together to create the Work From Home Print Collection. We’re determined to bring positivity, encouragement and color to your current work area with a collection of art that inspires and motivates us.

We’re currently living through one of the toughest and weirdest years in history. The Coronavirus global pandemic has turned many of our lives totally upside down and life as we know it just isn’t the same. So many people now work and attend school remotely from home, which sounds great in theory (woohoo no commute!), but it can actually take a really big mental toll on you. If you don’t have the appropriate space to work in or quiet office-like surroundings it can be super hard to stay motivated and focused.

Insert Work From Home art print collection idea! I wanted to design a product that helped people achieve a sound headspace and feel motivated throughout their work day. I felt that small 5x7 art prints with uplifting and positive sayings and images would be the perfect thing to help boost people’s spirits and self-motivation during this unprecedentedly hard time. 5x7 prints are easy to stick in small spots and don’t necessarily require a frame or a “perfect spot” to hang them – so you can easily display them wherever you may find yourself working (kitchen counter, the couch, sometimes the bathroom?). This makes it easy for people to decorate with them and create a feel-good environment to work and live in.

I have been working at home for myself for 2 years now and I know first-hand how tough it can be to motivate and work from home when you don’t have the proper environment or aren’t used to working and living in the same space. How do you immediately turn your breakfast table into your work desk by the time your coffee cup is empty?! 5x7 Work From Home art prints is how!

I just adore Nicole’s style, personality and voice. She is a color enthusiast, illustrator, graphic designer, professional happy dance doer. Nicole Goldfarb creates cheerful art prints, stickers, and accessories that turn any space into the bright side. Her designs encourage people to have fun, make waves, and bask in the carefree happy summer vibes all year long. She started her e-commerce business in an effort to inspire people to live their happiest, most colorful life possible. Her goal is to bring art and design to everyday ordinary objects, taking them from bland to beautiful. Nicole also provides creative services such as custom illustrations, insta-worthy brand collateral, and engaging social media content to millennial-geared brands.

Her design style is inspired by the vibrant energy and bold colors of NYC, juxtaposed with the laid-back vibe and serene palette of the Carolina Coast. Color is definitely her copilot, and no place showcases this better than her Instagram @nicolegoldfarb (pastels, and sunshine, and pink, oh my!).

I believe in the power of positive affirmations and mantras. Did you know our minds churn out 60-80K thoughts a day?! And, for the average person, 70-80% of those thoughts are negative 😳 No wonder we’re so exhausted, anxious + stressed all the dang time. The good news? You’ve got the power to bring those negative stats WAY down. Mantras + affirmations are a big part of my daily life, they help me redirect my thoughts and change the narrative in my head. Nicole and I put our heads together to bring some of my very favorite quotes to life in a way that could deliver cheer to your workspace.

I asked Nicole why she wanted to collaborate with me and this is what she had to say:

Umm well first because WHY NOT?! You’re awesome and such a lovely human and I knew from our past projects together that we work so well as a team. You were the very first person that came to mind when I was brainstorming people to collaborate with because I know that you are a big mental health advocate and you have SUCH an incredible way with words. Your IG captions are always so powerful, inspiring, and uplifting. You know how to connect with people in such a genuine, helpful way that truly resonates with audiences. You know and speak to the importance of mental health and I wanted to work with someone who is also dedicated to making other’s lives brighter and happier.

I also wanted to work with you because I love the way you deliver important messages. The way in which you write and say things feels like I’m getting advice from a true friend. It doesn’t feel preachy or authoritative. It feels supportive and uplifting and like it’s truly coming from a good place and like you really do care about the well-being of others who you are talking to. I wanted the prints to have words and sayings that people could relate to and connect with easily.

Color and whimsical illustrations are hallmarks of my designs, so I knew I wanted to incorporate those elements into the print collection but I also wanted it to feel right for whoever partnered on the project with me. Everything about your branding, from your colors, to website graphics, to brand voice felt spot on and in line with my personal brand and my vision for the prints. I knew that when we put our two styles together we could make magic!
