Okay, so if you’ve watched an episode of Cheer on Netflix—you’ve either:

  • Looked up Cheer Routines on YouTube

  • Considered going back to High School just to join the Cheer Squad

  • Had your heart melt into an absolute puddle because those kids are the absolute best

  • Realized you absolutely need to hire Jerry Harris to follow you around giving you a hefty dose of “Mat Talk” every single minute of every single day because he is everything we’ve all ever needed in our lives

Are you feeling exhausted? Uninspired? Lacking the motivation to do even the simplest things? Then you need "Mat Talk for Regular People." Special thanks to Jerry, La'Darius, Gabi and Coach Monica from the cast of "Cheer" for developing this important new solution for motivational deficiencies.

I had never heard of “Mat Talk” before watching Netflix's Cheer, but you better believe it felt on-brand AF for me. America’s newest sweetheart and breakout star Jerry Harris defined Mat Talk earlier this year on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, saying it’s "giving encouragement to anybody that's on the floor with you, and letting them know that you have somebody that's looking out for you and wants to be there for you."

“Mat talk” is sweeping the nation and was even recently the subject of a segment on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. In the absolutely hilarious sketch, Navarro College cheerleaders La'Darius Marshall, Gabi Butler, and Jerry Harris star in a commercial for mat talk, "the only non-FDA approved, Netflix-based solution for small yet seemingly impossible tasks."

I don’t know about you, but I’m addicted to Mat Talk and don’t see myself quitting this happy drug anytime soon.
