And finding the perfect gift to go along with your proposal is part of the fun. From bouquets to gift boxes packed with goodies, there’s endless possibilities.
Brian and I wanted to find creative ways to ask our Bridal Party to be in our wedding. We’re having a pretty big wedding, so we did a few different things. Putting together these Bridal Party proposal boxes was a special labor of love for me. I’m a details girl who’s love language is gifts, so I was realllllly looking forward to this. For both my fiancé and I, the people in our bridal party our very important to us — they’ve been with us through all of the peaks and valleys of life thus far, so in a way, us finding one another is a celebration for them too. Honestly, they were probably overjoyed the single stage for these hopeless romantics is finally over.
Bridesmaids Proposal
My cousins, who are more like sisters, and my mom planned a trip to New York City to try on wedding dresses. So, I took the opportunity to plan a surprise bridal brunch for them at La Duree in SoHo. It’s such a dreamy setting that pays homage to my French birthplace and ever since I could remember, I dreamt of having a shower or some sort of bridal event at their garden in SoHo.

Bridal Hunnies
Since I’m Persian and we’re having a traditional Persian Ceremony with a Sofreh Aghd, we are having what I call Bridal Hunnies. These are women I respect who will usher in certain things into our lives during our ceremomy. The aghd is the ceremony portion of the wedding in which the bride and groom sit in front of an assorted sofreh (literally means table) full of items that have meanings behind them. The sofreh aghd represents the symbolic and traditional union of the bride and groom with an intricate spread of items that stand for the shared journey of life and marriage the couple is about to embark on. Some of the elements you'll find on a sofreh include a mirror that signifies eternity, two candlesticks that signify light, nuts, and eggs for fertility, coins for wealth and prosperity and, of course, honey for a sweet life. Each woman I have chosen is someone who I look up to and admire. I’m so happy to have them play such an important role in our ceremony.

Ring Bearers + Flower Girl
The most amazing candy charcuterie boards from Sweet Lolli LA. My ringer bearers LOVED these! Their parents may have not, but the boys sure did!
We got our flower girl these custom sunglasses and also the kids a Mexico activity book and books about being a flower girl + ring bearer, which we thought was perfectly age appropriate.
Groomsmen
Not gonna lie, I low key had to twist my fiancés arm to send a proposal to his groomsmen. It took awhile for him to understand the concept. He didn’t get why he couldn’t just text them to ask, so we played into it with this witty card we found on Etsy. Then, I sealed the deal and got him super excited with these custom prayer candles. They were such a hilarious hit!
